Bethlehem police investigating reported fuel card fraud

Bethlehem police are investigating the unauthorized use of a catering company's fuel cards, which may have resulted in the theft of $100,000 in gas over the past three years, police said.
Bethlehem police said a representative with CRH Catering, 1510 Gary St., reported Thursday that an audit showed a $14,000 discrepancy in purchases on corporate fuel cards since January of this year. Lt. Mark DiLuzio said the company representative says there may have been up to $100,000 in unauthorized transactions on the fuel cards since 2008.
DiLuzio said multiple people with the company have access to the fuel cards to fill up their delivery vehicles. He said company representatives feel employees may have used the cards to gas up their personal vehicles.
