Dartmouth & Stanford To Live Stream Commencements on YouTube
Never made it to your college commencement ceremony? (All-night celebratory benders can do that to you.) Never fear. YouTube will be live streaming the graduation ceremonies of two top-tier U.S. schools on Sunday for your nostalgic viewing pleasure.
On Sunday, June 12, YouTube partners Dartmouth College and Stanford University will broadcast their ceremonies to the YouTubeverse. Dartmouth’s ceremony starts at 9:30 ET and Conan O’Brien will deliver the commencement address. President George H.W. Bush will also be scoring an honorary degree.
Stanford’s commencement will start at 12:30 ET, and Mexican President Felipe Calderón will speak. The ceremony will also include the traditional “Wacky Walk” (graduates dressed in silly costumes, walking into the stadium).
YouTube is increasingly giving us wider access to the world — from the tsunami in Japan to commencements on opposite sides of the country. Will you tune in this Sunday?
